On Thursday December 6th, a ceremony for Quercus Entrance scholarship recipients was held in University College Cork (UCC). Two students from St. Mary’s Secondary School, Mallow, Kate Ivory and Grace Moloney, received the Quercus scholarship based on their outstanding Leaving Cert results in 2018. Kate is studying Medicine and Grace is studying Finance in UCC. John O’Halloran, Deputy President and Registrar, UCC, presented Kate and Grace with their awards. St. Mary’s was represented at the event by Yvonne Bane, Principal.
