Sixth Year Students of St. Mary’s High School, Midleton, surpassed everyone’s expectations with their imaginative and creative Christmas outfits for the annual Christmas Jumper Day Fundraiser in aid of Cork Simon Community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Competition Winners

St. Mary’s High School recently Catchphrase Competition who’s winners are pictured with members of the MFL Department and Deputy Principal, Mr. Martin Feeney.

This competition was in remembrance of their esteemed colleague, Ms. Laura Houlihan who passed away in December 2019.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas Creative Writing Competition

St. Mary’s High School held a Creative Writing Competition which was organized by  Ms. Katie McGrath.

The Competition Adjudicator was St. Mary’s Writer-in-Residence, Ms. Denyse Woods.

Annual Carol Service

The annual Carol Service took place on Tuesday, December 19th in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton.  The student choir were joined, for the first time ever,  by the staff choir to celebrate the feast of Christmas.  They were conducted by Ms. Caroline Wade, Ms. Ashling Horgan and Ms. Kate Desmond of the Music Department.

 

 

 

St. Mary’s Presentation Convent visit

The Transition Year students recently visited St. Mary’s Presentation Convent, Midleton, to make a special presentation to convent chaplain, Rev. Canon Colie O’Donovan, who in 2023 celebrates seventy years in the priesthood. Katie Millerick, a grandniece of Carmelite priest Fr. Pat Beecher (formerly of Castlemartyr College) made the presentation on behalf of the group.

St. Mary’s High School sends heartiest congratulations on this remarkable milestone to Fr. Colie, in this special year of prayer for the vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
