Scoil Freastogail Mhuire, Fermoy

Mission Statement

Presentation Primary School/Scoil Freastógail Mhuire in Fermoy, Co. Cork was founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1838. The unrivaled legacy of the Presentation Sisters in Fermoy town is a testament to the sisters’ incredible work, their relentless dedication to both education and the community. They continued to encapsulate Nano Nagle’s ways in all they strived to do up until last year when in 2024 the last Presentation Sister left the town.

At Presentation Primary School, we are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Rooted in our Catholic ethos and inspired by the legacy of Nano Nagle, our school motto is “Deeds, not words”. We strive to foster a spirit of compassion, kindness, and respect for all.

Today, our school educates both boys and girls from infants to first class and exclusively girls from second to sixth class. We celebrate diversity and inclusivity, offering a warm and supportive environment for all children, including those in our dedicated autism classes. Through collaboration, understanding, and a high-quality education, we encourage every child to develop their unique talents and abilities.

Guided by our faith, we aim to equip our students with the skills, confidence, and competence to thrive in a fast changing world. We hope that this holistic educational approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of all our pupils and impact positively on the communities in which they live.
