1st year basketball team played St Anne’s on 5th February losing narrowly in a very exciting game. They played again on 10th February, where they were victorious against Scoil Ruain.

Primary School Visit to the Science Department
Students of Rathkeevin Primary school came to visit our Science Department in early February to get a taste of what studying science in secondary school was like. A wonderful time was had by all!
ARTiculation – 7th February
Congratulations to Caoimhe Nolan of TY, who represented the school today in the regional final of Articulation. Which took place in the museum Clonmel. ARTiculation is an Art themed public speaking competition where students are asked to speak for up to 10 minutes on a topic, they have researched, along with a PowerPoint presentation. Caoimhe spoke about the Claddagh Ring. Her presentation was extremely informative, personal and very interesting. Caoimhe was very well prepared and got great praise from the judges on her confident presentation. Very proud and great credit to Caoimhe and a big thank you to Julia, Marie and Jane in the museum for hosting Articulation.
Camogie Training
We are delighted to see our camogie players back training on the pitch again. We are looking forward to great things from these enthusiastic and energetic players!
1st Year Walk to Marlfield Lake
1st Year class 1C enjoyed a lovely 5k walk to Marlfield Lake with P.E teacher Ms. O’ Connor on Thursday 27th February.
TY Enterprise Order Day
Huge well done to all the TY students who participated in their Order Day on Wednesday 26th February. Items for sale include school shirts, school jersey, school PE top, cake pops, biscuit cake, Polaroid photos, friendship bracelets, Joy In A Jar brownie mix, self defense classes, sweets, hot chocolate, cup cakes and ice cream! Get your orders in now for Market Day which will be held on Wednesday 1st April.

Fun Run Training continues every Wednesday at lunch time from 1:20pm to 1:50pm.
Wellbeing: Rap Workshop with GMC Beats for 1st Years
1st years attended a rap workshop before the midterm break with music producer Gary McCarthy from GMC Beats. Each of the classes composed, recorded and performed their own rap using lyrics that best reflected them as a class. A wonderful experience was had by all students! Many thanks to Ms. Siobhán Alley who organised the event.
