Thanks to Mercy Secondary School Tuam
Dear Editor,
As a group of parents we feel it would be remiss of us to let the current academic year pass without expressing our gratitude to the staff of our school for the way in which they continued to support our daughters through the last few months.
We are always grateful for the wonderful, holistic education our girls are receiving, but we have been blown away by how the staff went above and beyond to ensure the usual high standard of education and support was maintained during the pandemic.
We feel our girls were shielded for the most part from the disruption and chaos created by Covid-19. It became obvious very early on that the staff of Scoil Bhride, Mercy Secondary, Tuam had the situation under control and at no point did we as parents feel overwhelmed or worried about our girls’ education suffering.
We have no doubt this was a huge undertaking and required much learning and up-skilling in IT for all personnel involved and we are very grateful for this Trojan effort. Your care and support for our Leaving Certs deserves special mention. The calm, encouraging support helped us remain calm as the chaos surrounding their fate ensued . Our girls felt , as always, still connected to their Mercy family through the many assemblies when Mr Behan reminded us regularly to be leaders in our homes and communities.
Well, you have all led by example and we parents will always be grateful for how you continued to help our girls blossom even from a distance.
Yours sincerely,
Scoil Bhride Mercy Secondary School
