Award for Transition Headstrong Group
Calasanctius College is proud to announce that it has been recognised again this year as an Ambassador School for Cycle Against Suicide. This prestigious award is in recognition of all the hard work by last year’s TY Headstrong group, under the guidance of Ms. Gilsenan, in promoting positive mental health in the school. Well done to all involved.
VEX Robotics
Congratulations to the Robotics Team who won the Judges Award and came second in the Skills Challenge earlier this term at the Regional VEX Robotics Competition held in ATU. The group were commended for their excellent teamwork, coding and driving skills. The team reached the National competition in Cork, where they took part in seven qualification games and then competed in the alliance selection knockout rounds. Congratulations on your excellent achievement! Well done
Debate Club Competition
A great day for Calasanctius College Debate Club at the Connacht Mace Debating Final, Saturday 24th February, in Coláiste Iognáid (The Jes). Milena Arsic received an award for Best First Year Speaker and qualified to compete in the National Mace Debating Finals in Dublin. Well done Milena and all the contestants.
