Rachel competes in the CEIST All-Ireland Bake-Off
Congratulations to Transition Year student, Rachel O’Grady who competed in the 4th annual CEIST Bake-Off which took place on Friday the 9th of March in Árdscoil na Tríonoide, Athy. The CEIST Bake- Off competition aims to encourage home baking and in particular creativity as students are asked to design, plan and make a novelty cake. Students must use at least one Odlum’s product in their recipe. This competition is open to all CEIST secondary school students. Seven Senior and Seven Junior students from CEIST schools all over the country battled it out to find out who will be the 2017 Champions and Catherine Leyden from Odlum’s and Ireland AM had the difficult task of judging the cakes. Rachel received €50 as finalist. A representative from CEIST was present on the day and was delighted with the level of interest shown to date in this competition. Thank you to Mrs. O’Brien (Home Economics teacher) who accompanied the girls on the day.
