Our CEIST Annual Conference was another great success.
Over the two days which it was held we had CEIST members from all over the county attend.
To begin the Conference attendees had the opportunity to play Golf at the Athlone Golf Club.
The Highlights of the first day of the conference included the launch of Guímis, A CEIST Book of Prayer and Reflection, by Maeve Mahon the CEIST Chairperson
This was followed by a lovely Mass service by Bishop Paul Connell which was also accompanied by the talented vocals of the Choir from St Seton’s Secondary School, Ballyfermot.
After the Mass CEIST CEO Gerry McGuill warmly welcomed everyone who gathered and gave an opening address.
Next was an very interesting as well as interactive address by the Keynotes Speaker for the day Dr Daniel Groenewald.
Dr Groenewald is the Senior Consultant in Talent Management, Learning, and Leadership Development at the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools.
Dr Groenewald address was enlightening and gave all in attendance food for thought.
The Second day of the conference began with four workshops that the various attendees where able to choose from.
These included Internet Safety by Dr Maureen Griffin, Applying a Framework to Management Potential Conflictual Situations by Dr Joe O’Connell, Developing High-Preforming Senior Leadership Teams in Schools by Dr Daniel Groenewald and Current Legal issues by Brian Matthews.
After a light break Maeve Mahon, the CEIST Chairperson Launched COTHÚ. COTHÚ is our new initiative supporting leaders in CEIST schools
The Day finished when we had the privilege of listing to Sacred Heart Secondary School, Tullamore’s Choir beautiful singing talents.
