Catholic Schools Week
This year, for our Catholic Schools Week Display, every student designed a paper heart, writing the things and people they love in the centre of it. The hearts were then used to create this lovely window display.
Camogie Connacht Champions!
Calasanctius Senior Camogie team won the Connacht Schools C Final defeating Ard Scoil Mhuire Ballinasloe 2:12-1:4 on Tuesday 29/1/19. The venue was changed from kilnadeema to oranmore pitch last minute due to poor conditions.
Captained by Amy Connolly the Calasanctius women secured a goal, compliments of Connolly, in the opening 6 seconds of the game. They quickly added to this with 4 unanswered points. They fought hard, in bitterly cold conditions, to secure their place as connacht champions.
They now face the Ulster Champions in the All-Ireland Semi Final, scheduled for Feb 9th. It’ll be a home venue for Calasanctius. The team are managed and coached by Ann Hardiman, Caitriona Hennessy and Angela Moran.
