After an absence of three years it was truly wonderful to see the 59th BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition return to an in-person forum last week. Once again this event showcased innovation, curiosity and excitement with 1,100 students participating and many more supporters and spectators in attendance over the exhibition.
There were 550 projects on display from 212 schools across the country, including 23 (11%) CEIST Schools, and with a range of projects and topics being examined under the designated headings of Biological & Ecological Sciences; Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences; Social & Behavioural Sciences and Technology.
The essence of the exhibition is the spirit and ingenuity demonstrated by the students who participate and there is no doubt but that all participants are winners.
We are extremely proud of all those who represented our CEIST schools and great credit to them and their teachers for the hard work and dedication, over many months. Happily the achievements were too many to name individually so just to say well done and we are so proud of you!
