St. Mary’s Scientists @ BTYS
With a quest for knowledge and a desire for discovery, four Transition Year students proudly represented St. Mary’s in the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. This competition is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to hone their research skills and present their findings in the public domain. Rania Moussa and Pippa Hennessy shared their insights into how attention spans are decreasing in recent generations while Miriam Finn and Kate McEvoy made an interesting discovery about the impact of air fryers on our health. Both projects required many hours of work and dedication from the girls and the staff who guided them along the way. Miriam and Kate were thrilled to accept the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Award for their project.
