Senior Camogie team

Well done to the Senior Camogie team from Presentation College Askea who had a brilliant match against St. Fergal’s Rathdowney in the 3rd round of the schools league.

The girls got off to a shaky start but regrouped at half time. The second half saw some positional changes and a super tally of scores from the Presentation College girls, who found themselves settling into the game more comfortably.

The team fought hard to the final whistle and despite the huge score difference at half time, the match ended up in a draw. A fantastic comeback from Presentation College.

The students of Presentation College Askea attended an event in the Seven Oaks Hotel on the twelfth of October organized

by Carlow County Council along with SHE (See her elected).

The students had the benefit of seeing a presentation which highlighted the current gender inequality in

politics as well as encouraging them to get their names on the Register of Electors when they turn sixteen.
