As we prepare to enter the season of Lent the attached resources may be used to help in this time of repentance, reflection and in preparation for a brighter time.
The word Lent comes from an Old and Middle English word that has to do with spring and the fact that in the Northern Hemisphere days in spring lengthen. The weather is getting warmer and nature is coming back to life. We are looking forward to Easter as never before, Please God we are leaving the darkest days of Covid behind and entering a brighter and more recognisable future.
However even as we look forward with optimism a dark cloud hangs over eastern Europe, every day we think and pray for the people of Ukraine that their suffering may come to a swift and just ending.
