SACRED HEART SCHOOL WESTPORT MISSION OF THE MONTH

As part of Mission Month last year, we decided to challenge each class to come up with a mission to complete over the school year. One such mission was carried out by class 2B just before the Christmas holidays. The class had decided that they wanted to visit and entertain the residents of the local old folks’ home, Mac Bride Home. They practised their songs, dances and tunes for weeks before the big day. Armed with Santa hats, instruments and plenty of enthusiasm, they performed their own carol service for the residents, accompanied by Ms. Grainne Hughes. We hope to make this an annual tradition as it was such a beneficial and enjoyable experience for all involved.
